Gross Vehicle Weight: This refers to the total mass of the vehicle in a fully equipped and ready-to-operate state, encompassing the engine, chassis, body, and all electrical and auxiliary equipment.

 

Maximum Gross Vehicle Weight: This parameter represents the total weight of the vehicle when fully loaded, i.e., the sum of the vehicle's curb weight and maximum payload capacity.

 

Maximum Payload Capacity: This refers to the maximum cargo weight the vehicle can carry when fully loaded, calculated as the maximum gross vehicle weight minus the curb weight.

 

Vehicle Length: Vehicle length is the distance between the vertical planes of the foremost and rearmost protruding parts of the vehicle, measured perpendicular to the vehicle's longitudinal symmetry plane.

 

Vehicle Width: This is the distance between the two fixed protruding points on either side of the vehicle, measured parallel to the vehicle's longitudinal symmetry plane.

 

Vehicle Height: This is the distance between the vehicle's support surface and the water surface at the highest point of the vehicle's protrusions.

 

Wheelbase: This is the distance between the two vertical lines on the vehicle's longitudinal symmetry plane, measured at the center points of the wheels on the same side when the vehicle is traveling straight.

 

Additionally, trucks can be classified by payload capacity into micro trucks, light-duty trucks, medium-duty trucks, and heavy-duty trucks. Suspension type is another critical technical parameter, with common variants including leaf spring suspension, air suspension, and rubber suspension-each possessing distinct characteristics and suitable applications.
